London-based electronic production duo Dief and Baker released their debut single ‘Hours’ on Kerri Chandler’s Madtech label back in 2013. Since then they have put out a handful of critically acclaimed singles in preparation for their newest EP, Floyd.

The 4-track EP kicks off with YGT, a classic house paced track confirming the duo's continued dedication to the dancefloor seen with previous releases. A serious approach to production is proven in the subtle layering of tinkling 80’s synths offset by a thumping bass in second track Silent Running, while Nassau slows down to 90 bpm and is a meandering, psychedelic exploration into electronic dub. Lastly Floyd, the EP's title track, builds in complexity from washed out modular sequences to the gradual introduction of bass and drum machine lines, culminating in swirling sci-fi sequences and distorted vocals offering a successful conclusion to the strong Floyd EP.

We’re super-proud to announce that the tenth single on electronic imprint More Music is the latest from the brilliant musical mind of Toby Tobias. We’re also delighted that this release is coming out on vinyl for only the third time in the label’s history, following in the illustrious footsteps of Timo Maas and Midland before it.
2011 has been a vintage year for London DJ/producer Toby Tobias. Not only has he played at key clubs from Australia to Croatia, he also turned in a killer remixes for Toro Y Moi and Franz Ferdinand (which is due to drop any day now) and he continues to impress with his own Tracky Bottoms label. But as befits a record that goes back to the spirit of real disco and the 12” dance single, we’re delighted that the tenth release on More is arguably our strongest remix package to date. Toby’s own versions has been augmented by some brilliant reworks from Bicep and Hot Creations man of the moment Lee Foss – two hot potatoes who have taken the original version and taken it to a more upbeat house direction. From the soulful original to a cool, muscular house mix from Bicep to Lee Foss who heads to the front of the new school class, this is a straight up vocal smash with a mix for every flavour. Zoo Look add the extra beef to the already substantial package with a remix and a dub, keeping to the low slung disco moodyness which has been turinng heads with their Tenth Circle ouput and recently shared Sccucci Manucci 12" release.
As for the original song, Toby worked long and hard to get it right, delivering four versions of the track that were all relevant to the dance-floor. He also found the perfect vocal foil in Brendan Reilly. “Brendan delivered such a great vocal,” smiles Toby. “It was a joy to work with him, hence the several versions I delivered for different dance-floor moments. I’m super-happy with this whole project and how it’s turned out.”

Heʼs the man who gave us ʻHelen Cornellʼ with Chelonis R Jones and ʻEurasiaʼ with Gui Boratto on Systematic and gave us a blast of ʻSunburstʼ on Simple back in 2007. And now – having remixed DrumTalk for More Music in 2012 – heʼs returning for a second bite of the cherry with LʼArc En Ciel, which now comes equipped with brand new mixes from Pezzner and a brilliant house re-rub from Trikk. And if you were thinking techno, think again: this track is more inspired by Thomas Bangalter and Roulé releases than anything else! “Iʼm very proud of this track,” he smiles. “My inspiration was my love for French House or Filter House as some people call it. Acts like Thomas Bangalter or Etienne De Crecy were the inspiring people for me here. I just like emotional electronic music, independent from genre. I hate to produce the same direction all the time. When it comes to my output people should expect the unexpected!”



Marc is also feeling inspired by the new worlds around him. “I think I ́m more inspired than ever before, because I ́m more open minded as ever before. My philosophy is that the sky must be the limit. When I ́m behind the mixing console I want to let go, without thinking of anything which can disturb or stop me- and more works.” Itʼs a good time for Marc Romboy, with many musical projects on the go into 2013, including an album with Ken Ishi – the Marc Romboy & Ken Ishii collaborative album ʻTaiyoʼ drops in February. “I ́m very excited about two collaborations I have just finished. My second EP with my Bulgarian friend KINK is also about to drop. It represents my current definition of House Music - as does "Lárc En Ciel!”
