For its 12th release This is not Label presents 'Baltic Trip', EP produced by Samuele De Santis, historical and talented resident dj of This is not Party.
The EP is composed by ‘Meza Mackevici', 'Ropazi' and one remix made by the Solenoid Records founder Erta Ale.

Samuele De Santis - Meza Mackevici
Meza Mackevici is an introspective and fluid track, marked by the presence of complex beats with tribal burgs and a deep line bass which is omnipresent all along the arrangement.
It's purely electronic sound, combined with liquid and tribal shades, the melodies create a melancholic and nostalgic atmosphere, leading the listener to get lost in the notes.

Samuele De Santis - Ropazi
Ropazi is a track characterised by break rhythm and acid elements, the ensemble of this genuine sonorities create a delicate and gentle melodies that bring to the listener a sense of total relax and inner peace.

Erta Ale has been able to extrapolate the more festive shades of the original track. The whole remix is characterised by a constant groove and acid sounds which, together with an impressive and complex break rhythm, made the day for whom is listening.

Awakening is the manifesto of the EP and wants to show the rise of the artist with her art after more than a year and a half of forced closure as a result of the pandemic.
Awakening stands out because start in the first part with a slow and melancholic part which bring the listener straight to the first drop where the entrance of a powerful and dub kicks shocks the “land” as if to indicate the recovery and the return to everyday life in the quite after the storm.

With this remix SCARLETT proposes us her different perception of  “Awakening”.  We can listen how the rhythm starts immediately strong with a powerful and fast drums with a deep bass followed by an acid sound which englobe completely the listeners her own dimension. A dancefloor killer track which give energetic and deep emotions at the same time.

Katnada - Lucid Dreams
Lucid Dreams start from the beginning energetically as dictated by a powerful kick with dark and nostalgic electronic melody throughout the arrangement. The complexity of this production doesn’t need explanation, a pure piece of art made by the talented Katnada.

TIN016_Katnada - Duality EP

Darkness and light. Stagnation and evolution. A complex duality which accompanies us
throughout our existence.
"Dark Night" represents stagnation, anger and destruction. A dark acid bass slowly
evolves and creates tension. Apocalyptic pads remind of fear and hopelessness.
"Speira" (Spiral in ancient Greek) symbolizes the continuous motion and evolutionary
journey into this existence. Various melodic patterns melt together and create a sense of
hope, the piano allows for a moment of reflection which then evolves again into a
dynamic acid synth, keeping the evolution ongoing.
The EP is composed also by two sophisticated remix, Outis and the well known Nakadia
have reinterpreted the original tracks, offering ambient and electronic break sonorities
with fresh dancefloor killing vibes.

The Italian Berlin Based Ruff Stuff lands on this is not records with a banger track.
Morale is clearly reflecting what "House music" means, the 90's drums in combination with a melodic arpeggio and a strong “Detroit” chord creates something which smashes definitely the dance floor. Alongside “Morale” our residents Alfa Cornae (aka Marco Dassi) and we.amps dropped two crazy and well-structured remix that highlight the original while maintaining its own strong style.

This is Not assigns the last ep of the year to one of the most fascinating characters of the Milanese scene. Robotalco. Always in the underground, he sporadically gives us masterpieces of IHM (Intelligent House Music). An hypnotic voice with warm drums accompanied by dreamy melodies characterise the ep's main track, while the remix assigned to the 'mind behind the project' Marco Dassi gives it that danceable touch in a Lo-Fi key.

Foggy atmospheres, dark vibrant bass tones that smell like waiting outside a club in a queue, alternate with concussive upbeat rhythms forming a kind of “Electro Ska” from a “thousand and one nights”. These are the two original tracks penned by homegrown talent Ron Brown. Remix assigned to residents we.amps, who with their dancing acid touch close an amazing ep.

Through this solid house ep Dellacasa delights us with two super danceable, groovy and fresh originals perfect for the summer arrives. As regard the remix, this time we have a milestone of international house. The 'Chi' vision of DJ Jes from Chicago gives us a remix with his typical hypnotic style by respecting the original track.

Sean Afful is a young selector who grew up on the Italian Riviera, where he developed a passion for electronic music. He combines sounds from the past and present, drawing from various musical scenes to create a sound that is both euphoric and nostalgic. His vision is to create ever-evolving mixes, covering house, garage, minimal, electro, and techno. Currently, he is a resident at Cocoricò in Riccione, where he dedicates himself to perfecting his sound and sharing his passion through his sets.

Born in 1994, Unknown Code started in Rome’s nightlife, where he immediately distinguished himself with his sets of deep hidden rhythms and electronic sounds. In 2018 he performes in festivals like Amore, HIDE, and Sun'n'beat. His first release came in 2020 on Loose Records (curated by Rino Cerrone). In 2021, he released "Berlin" on TRAU-MA (Robert Hoff), followed by "Kreuzberg EP" on Planet Rhythm in 2022. In 2023, he released "U-Bahn" on Planet Rhythm and collaborated with Drumsauw on Virgo Transmission (Ilario Alicante) and JAM (Sam Paganini). In 2024, he debuted on Codex with "System Error" and returned to Virgo Transmission with "Unfuture EP." In 2025, he released "Divergence" on Planet Rhythm’s "Minerals" compilation.

Kristin Velvet is a dynamic DJ and producer known for her high-energy, groove-driven sets that blend elements of techno, house, and minimal. With a decade of experience, she refined her craft during a seven-year residency at Berlin's Watergate, performing at iconic venues like Boiler Room, Night Tales, Culture Box or Amnesia and Hi in Ibiza, as well as major festivals including Fusion, Exit, and Snowbombing. As a producer, Kristin releases music on her label, Arms & Legs, and has collaborated with artists like Fred P, Josh Wink, and Damian Lazarus. Her style is rooted in 90s Chicago and Detroit sounds, with a focus on making people dance and have fun.

Steady Stream (Filippo Ascione), resident DJ and founder of Deep Love Factory, was born in Livorno in 1990. Fueled by a passion for funk, vinyl, and sonic experimentation, his sound blends House, Funk, Nu-Disco, and analog-inspired electronic music. Active since 2011 with the Circle Line project alongside Gabriele Carratori, he brought Berlin’s underground spirit to Livorno through independent events featuring top Tuscan DJs. He has shared the booth with artists like Phil Weeks, Jeremy Underground, Okee Ru, DJ Hendrix, and Hunee, playing for renowned parties such as Lattex Plus, Tropical Animals, Diagonal Club, and Burro Studio Radio Milano.

The EP consists in three tracks,’Super', 'Vamo' and the remix of 'Super' made by Samuele De Santis, historical resident dj of This is not.

Panko - Super
Super is a track characterized by constant electronic melodies accompanied mainly by acid sounds. Numerous break elements, rhythmic beats and continuous fast groove rhythm transmits great energy to anyone who listens to it.

This is not is glad to presents Ham Sequence, the 10th release of his label signed by Marco Dassi & we.amps, both milestones and pillars of the Italian project.
The EP is made by four tracks which are Breathless, Childhood, Ak47 and Ham Sequence, which gives the name of the EP.

The track is quite fast and pressing, the rhythm is punctuated by drums and bongos with clear influences  from the tribal and Detroit world. These, together with the energetic acid sounds, create a clear and irrepressible desire to dance.

Ak47 is pure rhythm, the organ is perfectly alternates with break and hip-hop rhythms, the melancholic melody accompanies the track along the arrangement opening the path to a powerful organic bass line.

With pressing and fast rhythm Childhood doesn't give a break. The drums combined with strings and claps are blended harmoniously creating balance between the instruments that seem to dance with each other, all together.

we.amps - Breathless
Breathless has defined and continuous bass, the variation between percussive sound and cymbal elements generate a great energy and desire to dance for anyone. A deep vocal punctuates the arrangement giving no time to breath but “excuses” for jumping.

For the seventh chapter of our series we are glad to introduce Marek Moskal (aka Moskalus). His great energy and devotion for the music will guide us into this special podcast made especially for This is not Family.

Moskalus was born and currently resides in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He started his musical journey back in 2007 when he created his first YouTube channel where he would upload music from various artists to help them promote their music. With his second channel, he started doing music videos because he wanted to be a part of the scene, not only as a regular uploader, but as someone who wanted to express his own feelings. In November 2014, he had his first big break by making the music video for Bambounou's track "Onto This" which was released on 50Weapons. After that, he gained a greater audience that helped him to work with labels such as: Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Die Orakel, Pinkman and Lehult. He has also had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Baltra, Fjaak, J. Albert and Benedict Frey.

After years of listening to music and making videos for such artists, Moskalus has developed a wide-ranging taste. In his DJ sets you can expect to hear anything from disco to house, techno, UK Garage or dubstep from the golden era.
