The title references Gustav Von Will (Tava),  a little own painter and actor whose large scale erotic figures of men (two stories high!) decorated Pier 46 on the West Side during  the height of pier use for anonymous sex. Tava died of AIDS in 1991.

I am a visual artist, bon vivant, and trans-person who also dabbles in an aberrant  endeavor called sound synthesis,  mainly through modular synths,  those boxes  filled with frustration, accidents,  and discovery.  The idea of noise is foreign to me,  inasmuch as technology has made it possible to hear past chaos and sculpt sound to one's own liking.
