The What You Sample / I Eat Beats EP is Billy Kenny’s first EP on his own co-run imprint, This Ain’t Bristol. Already gaining huge support from all across the board, these two sweetened and fruit-flavoured peak time bangers are accompanied by a juicy remix by non other than Dirtybird’s Ardalan. 

What You Sample’s kit shuffles it’s way into a hypnotic masquerade of melodic 808’s, calming the listener before hitting with some serious grit! This track shows off one of the deadliest reese basses known to mankind like it’s nothing, while keeping it’s cool in-between, creating a seesaw of volume and atmosphere.
 
A concerto of violins, gangster leads and talking warps are the main ingredients that “I Eat Beats” consists of. The epic orchestral break reverbs its way into the abyss and prepares you for the drops - yes, there's a few and they switch up constantly! We think it would do exactly what it said on the tin if it wasn’t a track in your playlist. 

Ardalan’s approach to I Eat Beats introduces even more strings than the original, one hell of a thumping kick and a piercing saw bass enough to rip the kevlar from a speaker cone! Upon the second breakdown, Ardalan shows us how to make a gangster lead even more gangster with a little G-Funk spin to it.

After his recent releases on Universal, Bunny Tiger, Dirtybird and Get Physical, South Africa’s man of the moment Kyle Watson is back again on This Ain’t Bristol - this time with a full EP! 

Both originals and Abby Jane’s remix are without a doubt, ripe and ready to put a smile on the northern hemisphere’s festival season.

Watermelons is a hard laboured A side that stomps a techy beat and shows off Kyle’s intricate trademark bass lines. Sweet silky melodic breakdowns and minimal vocal’s are all that come in-between such a carnivorous drop from packing it’s punch - you’ve been warned!

Abby Jane shows off her diversity with a stunning approach to Watermelons, completely transforming it into an open air ear worm you don’t want to get rid of. This stand-out track certainly contains “good vibes” all over!

Fly With Me starts off as a rather minimalistic tune discreetly setting the right pace and mood to switch up the gears for the night time shift. Its amazing build up forms it to that perfect track to get people into the groove while sipping on their first drink slowly gagging for more.

If you're looking for a B side, you've come to the wrong place. These two peak time bangers are capable of shutting down a rave just for the fun of it and believe us, we've seen it happen! 

Birmingham based producer Marc Spence gave us what one could only describe as Pandoras box. “Nasty” broke the TAB lab's studio monitors the day we heard it and “Stop Interrupting” still taunts our minds at night. Joking aside, this unique pair are some of the finest craft work we've had the pleasure of releasing.

Having caused a fair bit of fuss with our recent “Even More Selections” release, we felt we had a lot to live up to, but Marc's debut with us has arguably upped the game once more.

It’s time to pack up the car and our daredevil is excited for the final of his many “Road Trips” across the vast continent. He throws on the booming stereo in the auto, while nodding his head to the reverberating and lengthy bass under the scattered layers of a somehow dark, but uplifting organ progression. The open road is his muse on his journey to the ocean.

The waves are rolling in on this crisp summer day in Cape Town and he feels confident. “Boom clap boom clap boom clap” is what he hears from the strong current striking against the rocks on the shoreline. He feels the persistent rhythm of the South Atlantic Ocean as he paddles out under the sinking sun. The warrior mounts the first swell perfectly and utters a subconscious, yet triumphant “Uh” as he descends from the peak. 

The sun begins to reach the horizon and the colors of the sky bounce and refract through the water, giving the scene an almost psychedelic feel. The seagulls click through the water searching for prey and they create scattered synths and sonorous cymbals from under the water. This whole day is really starting to get “Kinda Wavy.”
