No Diggity

My name is Edward. I'm from England, but spend my Summers working in a hostel in Hvar Old Town, Croatia. In August 2013, my girlfriend Alexandra came to visit. We spent our final evening at a restaurant on a tiny island called Galesnik, which looks across the water to Hvar's port and fort. There was a female donkey on the island called Mercedes, and my girlfriend got a little upset that Mercedes had no companion. I did some research, and contrary to popular belief, donkeys "do NOT like being kept alone... it is recommended they are kept with a companion, preferably another donkey". So the day after Alexandra left, I rented a car, and went in search of a donkey. After speaking with a few farmers, I came across a strong male donkey called Mago, who also spent his days alone. I parted with a few kuna, and this is where the love story begins.
