Early Morning Rain

The second song from our self titled debut EP, ThisFire. This is a bit of a special song for us because it is the first one we had played on the radio! This is a relative oldie, probably in the first 4 or 5 songs Martyn wrote for This Fire and one of the first we put together as a band.

Since You Went Away

The third song from our self titled debut EP, ThisFire. This is the newest song that we recorded for the EP, it was not one the original list of songs we had lined up for recording, but once we started tracking it we decided to finish and include it on the EP.

Thoughts In My Head

The final song from our self titled debut EP, ThisFire. This is one of our oldest songs from a few years back, so it was great to finally get it recorded.

Love & Poison

After 2014's "This Fire" we took a step back from writing new material to enjoy gigging our back catalog along with a healthy dose of covers. "I Shouldn't Be With You" had already become a firm entry in any live set despite never being recorded. We planned on heading into the studio again in late 2015, but due to multiple set backs recording was postponed.

In early 2016 we started writing again, with an aim to capture the raucous energy from our live sets, the result of which making up the bulk of this release. In June 2016 "Only Lovers" and "Thinking Of You" received their live debut, closely followed by "Wrong Things" and "Lose It" a few weeks later.

In October 2016 we headed into Yak Music Studios helmed by Joseph Buckler, with a plan to record the 5 songs that are on this release in a way which most closely captured our live energy, but without sacrificing the conveniences a modern studio offers.

Joseph did a fantastic job of accommodating our desire to lay down the majority of the tracks as live as possible, despite the technical difficulties this presented. The drums and bass on this recordings you have here were 100% live, as were the basis for the guitar tracks. "Demons" took two days to record, and was then mixed and mastered patiently by Joseph over the following weeks.

"Demons" is without a doubt the EP we set out to record, and is one we are immensely proud of as a band.

Formed in West Somerset during April 2012, we started out playing small venues and festivals with sets comprised mainly of acoustic led originals and a handful of covers. In early 2014 we headed into the studio to record our debut self-titled EP. Since then the we have continued to gig and work on new material, with our sound evolving to have a faster, more energetic edge.
