Didn't expect this to turn out the way it did, but it did. made the beat sometime in October and when I sent it to King Iced, he got his vocals done THAT day. probably the fastest song that I've worked on.

I was scared it won't "peak" as much as my previous releases but fuck it, we do it for the love of it.

Love to all the guys involved. And major shoutout to the cover artist too❤️

The track feels like if you mixed Skepta and Nigerian rap on an instrumental, as "yoriyori flow." mixes swag, class and fun on a sample-like chopped melody and grime-like beat.

Apparently, I made the beat without ever listening to it and I didn't expect it to go far. I sent it to my clientele, Mxna sent back lyrics that same day... It was crazy.. This beats "raindrops." as my fastest song created till date as it took us about 4 months to produce, record, mix and master. I am honoured to work with such a machine. Shoutout WKAY, BuTaSkOcH, Sketchy, Chxrlz and everyone that day in that studio. Made the final version even more sweet than it is now.

This song has been in the works since last year. Called it "september" cause of the gloom that comes with that particular month (made the beat in June, hence the melancholic but dancey groove.)

I initially sent a demo of the beat without thinking too much of it, about a minute 30. When Tugi (such an angel) sent her initial demo some months later, I could have sworn I shed a tear. I jumped in amazement, I said. "Tugi, you've blessed my ears."

She asked for the beat to be elongated, I did that in 1 hour (she sparked my inspiration) and I sent the finished version to her and she sent her demo back. Cried again.

The biggest task of this project was mixing and mastering, as it was my first singer project I have ever taken. I was skeptical at first but her voice made my life SO EASY. I didn't even do much to it when I figured how to make her vocals sound that way.

Versions were bounced back and forth and we have this version.

I can rave about this song for days. I'm honoured she's the first ever female act I've worked with.

She's a star. Tugi is a star. Watch out for her. I promise she'll take over the world with her voice.

Sketchy brought up this idea though. Was a random weekday.
