"I am on top of the castle; strategic position, checkpoint and contemplative space. The pink light comes out from behind Tibidabo and tells me that the night is approaching from the Mediterranean. Breeze with the scent of spring. The city at my feet is like a game of Micro Machines. And I, as if I were a giant, dance hypnotized the deep and essential beats of a soundscape that I never want to end."

Vand’s (@vandmusic) sets are explorations into story-telling hypnotica with a crossover from ambient to dancefloor material. With releases on Nyame Records (@nyamerecords), a double EP collaboration with Bas Dobbelaer on Something Happening Somewhere (@sohaso) and his solo appearance on Madrid based F-on’s Alpenglühen (@f-ondj), he is now mostly affiliated to the ISOTOOP collective (@isotoop), helping with the organisation of events and transmitting their unique global sonic identity.

I needed to balance the "Analog Sound" status that technology has become through softwareization. Almost all the sounds I use are very common electronic sounds and natural sounds, such as flutes. I want to express myself more musically.

An audio engineer and music lover, he has worked with sound and voltage for a long time in various capacities. As a composer, producer and performer he likes to develop himself through experimentation and thinking without limits. He doesn't try to fit into any genre or box, quite the opposite.
This album is a collection of tracks that the artist created around 2023 using both analogue and digital solutions. He enjoys working through modular synthesis, where he spends most of his time. He likes the idea that, as a musician, he is actually discovering something that is already there, just helping to materialise it into waveforms.

It's pure inspiration and he doesn't follow a straight or linear path to follow, whenever he starts making music he lets himself go without a specific direction. He believes that this is where he has found the right thing.
These tracks have been created in this state of mind, inspired by readings of shamanism and ancestral spiritual knowledge.
He cannot deny that his home and hometown is magical and has had a major influence on his music.
He thanks the ocean and the island for the endless inspiration and support, he is very grateful!
