The agony I went through when I had to start having my daughter on the weekends after my divorce. The Lyrics "everybody said watch him, everybody says watch him! But my baby says "don't you worry it'll be okay"" Are actual events that were going on...I was dangerous with grief and anger and my daughter simply looked at me with her 6 year old face and said Daddy it will be okay. This song was inspired by the Bello lifestyle that we lived at that time and the lyrics were written on the spot in the studio, mid-day, by David Carson and was recorded that evening. What really had kicked me into writing about this was just weeks before we were playing a gig at one of our regular clubs in Chicago and it was raided by the DEA with about 20 officers and dogs. We were all flattened down to the ground right in the middle of sound check and they found like 14 kilos. of cocaine in the club.....was quite the night. A lot of storie emerged from this event, so I thought it deserved a song be dedicated to it.
