About this edit:
Ibrahim Ferrer is a legendary Salsa singer from Cuba. He was a member of the band Los Bocucos and was re-discovered after many years as part of the Cuban salsa supergroup Buena Vista Social Club. His voice and melodies are hauntingly beautiful and instantly recognizable. It was a pleasure paying tribute to his amazing legacy though this edit of his song “Silencio” recorded with the great Omara Portuondo.

Valentim is a joyful fun samba piece by the super talented Samba de Coco Raízes de Arcoverde band from the Pernambuco region of Brazil. Their music is the epitome of Brazilian samba, blending African and different Brazilian regional beats for a danceable catchy result. Their music has been a great source of inspiration and it is always a pleasure to pay tribute to their amazing music through my edits.

Bella Ciao, the captivating song used in Casa del Papel, caught my attention early on. But the true spark appeared when I dove into the depths of the internet and I came across this wonderful African chant of the song. Some reworking later and here we are.
