This song came together in the last 10 minutes of a studio session with Sam (informal.) after spending three hours working on something completely different. Sam was literally about to leave - backpack on - when I said, “Why don’t we try one more idea? Got anything else?” He pulled up a loop he’d made, stepped outside to take a phone call, and within 30 seconds, the drop you hear now was blasting from the speakers lol
