Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff! System Error’s newly minted sub-label Filet Mignon opens its doors with a cut that sets the tone for everything to come - refined, moody, and deeply rooted in the underground. The inaugural release comes from Space Wax founder NVNDO, backed by two remixes from the legendary Len Lewis, whose name still carries the weight of countless timeless after-hours moments.

On his remix for “Ice Ice,” Len Lewis delivers one of those rare tracks that bridges eras without losing its edge. It’s groovy, confident, and hypnotic - built around a chunky, rolling bassline that instantly locks you into its rhythm. The percussion is taut yet loose enough to keep things playful, while subtle FX and vocal snippets drift in and out of focus like flashes of light in a smoky basement. The production is tight but never sterile - the swing, the space, and the little imperfections are what make it move.

True to form, Lewis doesn’t aim for bombast - he builds a vibe. “Ice Ice (Len Lewis Remix)” unfolds slowly, pulling dancers deeper with every bar, layering tension and release through micro-shifts in groove and texture. It’s a track designed not to dominate the floor but to own it, that perfect moment between the night’s high and the next wave.

If Filet Mignon’s mission is to serve up underground house with flavor and finesse, then this remix is its signature dish - seared with experience, seasoned with swing, and cooked to perfection.
