The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.

The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning.  But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled.  The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.  

Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe.   I hope you enjoy the music.

The What You Sample / I Eat Beats EP is Billy Kenny’s first EP on his own co-run imprint, This Ain’t Bristol. Already gaining huge support from all across the board, these two sweetened and fruit-flavoured peak time bangers are accompanied by a juicy remix by non other than Dirtybird’s Ardalan. 

What You Sample’s kit shuffles it’s way into a hypnotic masquerade of melodic 808’s, calming the listener before hitting with some serious grit! This track shows off one of the deadliest reese basses known to mankind like it’s nothing, while keeping it’s cool in-between, creating a seesaw of volume and atmosphere.
 
A concerto of violins, gangster leads and talking warps are the main ingredients that “I Eat Beats” consists of. The DIRTYBIRD crew havent even had time to take their counsellor uniforms to the dry cleaners post-Campout, but already theyre dishing out more bulletproof slabs of future-flexed acid house.

Will Clarke mans the controls: Making his Dirtybird debut in January with "Badness" on DIRTYBIRD 10, follwing up with "The Boogie Woogie" EP and lazer-snapping "808Frenzy" on "DIRTYBIRD BBQ - Grill$ons Revenge" collection, the bristly Bristol-based spandex enthusiast has enjoyed a beautiful summer with releases on Defected, Emerald City and Turbo and unforgettable shows across the US, Australia and Europe.

Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP "Turn It Up," Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. "Can You Funk" punches with Breach-level hookiness, and Turn It Up does the loopy-loop with Dirtybirds trademark vocal trippiness.
