I wrote this in 2016 when I was in New Zealand for a six weeks and I decided rather bravely not to bring my guitar. Miserable from a breakup and intolerable to my college friends, I stumbled back from the bar after one too many Maker’s Marks. It popped into my head when I was taking the elevator back up to the hostel in Auckland. The final chorus didn’t come to me until 7 years later. Viola.

I composed this song this morning on whim.....I had a few catchy lines, jotted them down, picked up my resonator guitar, and BAM!  There you are!!  So, I rushed downed stairs to my home studio, recorded it as fast as I could before I would forget how it goes.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun writing and recording it!
