Bobbin Headcast 175 - By Husky - 11/01/2024

Since 1999, the legendary Sunkissed house night has shaped and formed the Oslo club scene thru monthly nights at BLÅ, Fabrikken and now Jaeger, making it the ever longest running club concept of the capitol. 

But it wasnt until 2005 that the first Sunkissed daycruise took place, resulting in a yearly tradition disturbing the residents of the Oslo fjord with an oversized soundsystem on a vessel filled to the brim of smiling house freaks.

This year was no exception as the ship set sail in june, with a captain always destined to find sunshine. OsloClubCast was there to record the atmosphere, covering sets by Olanskii, g-HA and Vinny Villbass, in order of appearance...

Vinny Villbass - Sunkissed Daycruise (SUMMER 2024) [VINYL]

This week I had the opportunity to witness something that, like a time machine, took me back to the days I used to drive to San Francisco just to go see my favorite DJs perform. Two legends from those days were randomly playing at a little club on WIlshire Blvd in Koreatown. I really mean legends: Miguel Migs and Jay-J on the same bill. I hadn't seen these two play together one after the other at the same gig in over 20 years. They certainly didn't disappoint and both played exceptionally good. 

The music was amazing all night and really brought back that West Coast sound that I fell in love with so many years ago. They didn't play a throwback set or classics (just a couple here and there) but mainly new music from them and from all over the world but that had that 'West Coast' sound vibe. 

Listening to these two maestros (and friends) inspired me to do an episode similar to what I heard that night at their gig. These are also all new tracks that just came out but that have that San Francisco sound vibe from the good ole' days by artists from all over the globe.

On February 16th I recorded a live DJ Set from my closing set at Piknic Electronik in Chile for Parties 4 Peace. Had the privilege of sharing the stage with Lee Buridge, WhoMadeWho and some other great artists & DJs on this magical night. The vibe in Chile is one of the most heart felt and giving energies I've experienced in South America, it's on a category of its own. Thank you Chile, Parties 4 Peace and the Patagonica Project for inviting me to be part of such an incredible tour. Look forward to returning soon.
