"Io vengo di tutto il mondo e non so donde venga e dove mi vada"
Ripercorrendo vicende epiche di cavalieri erranti, va in scena la leggenda di una grotta infestata da un drago, ma questa volta non è l'eroe a primeggiare.
Attraverso gestualità ripetute viene risvegliata la sacralità del luogo e numerose creature fanno sentire i propri lamenti innalzarsi dalle cavità naturali. La musica prodotta riecheggia alcuni materiali locali e racconta di ascesi e di lotta tra forze al confine tra bene e male. L'Eremo di San Leonardo delle Penne si riscopre un luogo di spiritualità ricavato nella roccia con alcuni reperti importanti di un passato dimenticato.

“This mixtape for NXS is made entirely of a cappella voices, weaving together recordings from Archive of Voices and tracks by various artists where the only instrument is the human larynx — and that of other creatures. The mix was composed after I experienced a corneal abrasion in both eyes. I recommend listening to it in the dark, just as it was conceived, gently lying down, with closed eyes.” @nina_riv, June 2025

how does our own world enter music
how do other lives enter our ears through sound recordings
is music an hallucination of matter (waves of variation in air pressure)

Francesco Toninelli x Neanche Per Sogno

MORE IS MORE IS MORE explores the concept of density as a generative principle of musical form. Accumulation of tension, stratification of textures, and multiplication of gestural elements become tools for the discovery of new expressive possibilities.

The notion of "more" transcends mere quantity—it refers to the intensification of contrasts, proliferation of meaning, and the expansion of the auditory experience, where “every detail is full of excitement”.

Martenot is the solo moniker of Simone Gottardi, an experimental musician and sound artist based in Turin.

His compositions, exclusively computer-generated, are founded on the use of a minimalist vocabulary and a digital synthesis apparatus shaped by strict constraints. This approach establishes a precise aesthetic direction, characterized by the dichotomous alternation of claustrophobic patterns, which evoke the rigid molecular structures of plastic materials, in contrast to freer and more irregular sections in which the musical fabric dissolves and opens up to airy and rarefied scenarios.

In 2022, he launched his collective and curatorial project @neanche-per-sogno, releasing his debut EP Sfilate Spaziali, followed by a series of live performances and the release of Faceshopping RMX in July 2023. After participating in events like Transart with a multichannel sound installation, he completed his studies at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin in 2024.
