“Who I Am" was written after taking years of life lessons and insecurities and turning them into a moment of self-empowerment, understanding that all of those experiences have made me who I am today. And that’s a beautiful thing. "Who I Am" is an opportunity to stop, feel good about yourself and your imperfections, and reflect on how life is both uncontrollable and unpredictable, but in the end, it’s all a part of truly helping you understand who you are.

Who I Am

“Liberated” is an uplifting anthem of hope and consolation for anyone who is struggling in life. It’s the words NIve wished he could have heard when he was going through his darkest moments. With “Liberated,” NIve is expressing that it’s okay not to be okay; there is a freedom that comes with acknowledging your struggle. The song is NIve’s way of saying, “I’m here for you, everything will be alright” - leaning on someone is not a sign of weakness, but rather, a step towards growth and healing.

“Tired” came to be after a season of just feeling so tired: emotionally, physically, mentally. It felt wrong because I felt like I had no real reason to be tired in the first place. Everything from the simplest of conversations to the gravity of having to make decisions felt like I was at war with myself - it was like I was drowning and couldn’t swim to the surface for air. This song is my release from that; my way of confessing an exhaustion for a need for someone to save me from myself. It’s okay not to be okay.
