As the daughter of a Nigerian father and a Siberian mother, Amina tells us about what it’s like to grow up as a mixed-raced person in Russia and her experiences abroad. 

We compare war stories and come to the conclusion that black people are not a monolith and the so-called ‘black experience’ is not homogenous. Huh, who’d thought?

We take a look at pop culture and discuss its wider socio-political implications and meaning. From Brexit to the latest Kardashian nudes- everything is political and holds cultural significance. 

Sassy, sarcastic and very unbothered- we scrutinise the zeitgeist, shift through the BS and call out the privilege. Expect conversations on race, feminism, LGBT rights, and Beyonce (because we stay in formation). What essentially started as tipsy tirades and tea-spilling between friends has developed into a forum for meaningful discussion. It’s your typical girlfriend chat, only woke AF.
