Paulita is a young selector with an old soul, digging up rare grooves—from Brazilian disco and deep-cut funk to cosmic jazz and slow-burning house. Born in LA, shaped by her Chilean heritage, and now based in Berlin, she’s slowly becoming a familiar face in underground spaces, spinning unexpected, always raw selections filled with records you never knew you needed.

Paloma is one of those beautiful souls that you meet on the dancefloor in one city and then you find her on another weeks later because you both are music freaks who travel for the funk. Paloma and I first met while giving each other the disco stank face at Red Greg's DJ set for Rotation Policy in London, then we randomly met again at Darryn Jones set at We Out Here and from there, we formed a music driven friendship that is bridged between London and Berlin. This girl has no boundaries when it comes to music knowledge and I'm excited to invite her for the second episode of Sobremesa Sounds. 

A word from Paloma:

"Torn between a Balkan identity and the strong influence of Western music, the soundtrack of my childhood is as emotionally diverse as any conversation at the dinner table. This mix portrays a memory that time has now polished, nostalgia has made its edges less sharp so I can occupy space in my memory more comfortably. The sobremesa of my childhood as I remember it now, is the dance, smile and warm embrace of a time no longer available.

I hope these records, with all their imperfection, skips and crackles, bring a joyful time to your dinner table."

Paulita is a Berlin-based DJ, selector, and curator known for her soulful approach to sound. Her sets flow between disco, deep house, and slow-tempo grooves, always grounded in emotion and atmosphere. As co-founder of the CACTUS collective, she creates spaces where warmth and rhythm meet community. Beyond the booth, she works across label and artist projects that reflect her deep interest in storytelling, intention, and sound.
