Provoke is proud to welcome Notize with his debut single ‘Worth The Pain’. Hailing from Denmark, Notize’s recent succession of monstrous dancefloor destroyers will make it no surprise that remix support came in from Marco Lys, Damn Kids, and Patrick Daniels.

Worth The Pain (Original Mix)

Rolling in with haunting filtered strings, the original mix is lead by a percussive organ bass that rides throughout. Filtered vocal sweeps layered with arpeggiated vocal chops are rounded up with a dirty hi hat groove to keep the momentum. The magic comes in the 2nd break, where the emotion shines and builds towards a moment of impact on the final drop. Classic.

Worth The Pain (Marco Lys Remix)

Stepping up the tempo, Marco Lys flips the original with off-beat percussion layered with an almost acoustic snare to freak out along side a now twisted organ rift that will take you back to days of free love and Opium lounges. Charged with a quaking sub bass drop, rising effects sweep across the mix as reverse reverb on the vocal take the mood to another level. Lush pads flow in on break 2, where a brief moment of tranquility resides before the destruction of the final leg of this unstoppable remix.

Worth The Pain (Damn Kids Remix)

Damn Kids moves away from keeping this remix prime time, focusing on delivering a mix that emphasizes his ability to craft soundscapes that remain timeless. Flipping the vocal sideways with a pitched-down-chopped-up rearrangement, the build sets the stage for a drop filled with massive timpani tribal drums at a half-time beat. Overlayed synths take control in the 2nd break, where brass trumpets and bells build as the vocal chops and drums fuel up towards analog inspired soft leads, shaker hi-hats and reverb induced claps that will reinforce Damn Kids reputation for remaining on the cutting edge of creativity.

Worth The Pain (Patrick Daniels Remix)

Provoke’s newest wonderboy comes in with a mix filled with analog pads, metallic percussion and vintage synths to take you back to the 80’s. Leaving ample room to let the track breathe, filtered bells and atmospherics ride as a detuned synth will remind listeners about what’s important, and make the rest of the noise from your day forgettable…

Happy 12/12/12 everyone! My birthday is in 12 days as well, and a few days before that there might be some interesting stories on the news. With that and a wonderful summer in Berlin in mind I put together a little music to share with all of you.
