The idea for this mix came from the cover photo above: a photo of my girlfriend Camille from her 90's/2000's themed birthday party back in 2021. When I came across this photo again recently, I thought to myself, "Why don't I make a mix that the ladies will love?" And so, I searched for and curated SoundCloud edits with some bomb-ass drums and a strong female presence.

The title, Get Lit Sit Pretty, on the other hand, was inspired by a night out with my girlfriend when she won a free table at Commissary 2.0 LOL. I offered to be her designated driver that night so that she'd be able to "get lit and sit pretty" with her girlfriends. As soon as I said it, I knew that it just had to be the title for this mix.

I'm so excited to share this mix with you all! I had so much fun working on this mix, and I hope you have just as much fun listening to it.

Vi’s passion for music, however, goes back over a decade. She discovered @soulection after moving to NYC in 2016 and cites them as a major influence. In addition, she describes her style as an eclectic mix of hip hop/r&b, house, trap, and an array of global club beats. Vi currently DJs events throughout SoCal but she plans to include music production and the creation of her own curated events as she continues on her music journey.
