When things go wrong they create all sorts of anxieties. And    
when my keyboard failed, never to be played again, it was the beginning of a series of unfortunate and unwanted events that I have tried to push through. Still some things to sort out, but with a replacement instrument to fill the void, I wrote this song.

Two years ago, I amicably parted ways with my ex-wife after a 25-year marriage. Moving on was incredibly tough. Shortly after the separation, I reconnected with an ex-girlfriend. What began as playful moments grew into something deeper, catching us both by surprise. She inspired me to become a better version of myself and reshaped how I view relationships. In short, I fell hard, craving just a bit more love, but it overwhelmed us. 

She had no choice but to step away, leaving me with silence.

In the wake of our breakup, I wrote a poem called Overdosed. I shared it at poetry readings, where its unique, almost Yoda-like style resonated deeply. The words carried a rhythm that felt alive. One day, my close friend Arda, a talented musician, producer, and DJ, was at my place messing around with his software. He asked me to play a simple four-chord progression in C# minor, and as I read the poem over it, everything clicked.

With AI’s help, we refined how the lyrics flowed with the music. We also created a second, high-energy techno version of Overdosed that’s an absolute banger. I’m still working through my insecurities about singing, but I hope one day I’ll have the courage to perform it live somewhere.
