‘Don’t Look Back’ is the first single off my upcoming EP out now on This Never Happened

After singing on a few tracks on ‘Moments’, I’ve started to feel more comfortable using my own vocals. This track is about overthinking everything to the point that you don’t make any decisions at all. I’m not exactly cured of this yet, but the song was written as an encouragement to simply do something if you want to do it.

Scandinavian production duo anamē team up with Bien on ‘Must Be Dreaming’, the third single from their upcoming debut album on Anjunabeats.

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, Marcus and Thomas bonded over a love of artists (Sasha or early Tiesto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

‘Must Be Dreaming’ sees the duo reunite with indie-pop band Bien, who racked up over 240K Shazams, 1.15M Instagram videos and 79M TikTok views on their 2022 viral hit with anamė, ‘The Best Part’. The track also saw support in Spotify's 'Chill Tracks' and 'Viral Dance' playlists, and has been streamed over 50 million times to date.

“There's something about how Bien writes songs and how they sing which perfectly aligns with how we write and produce,” Thomas says. “It's just a natural flow, a flow of energy, all the time. So it's never hard to make a song with them. Once they send us something we can feed off, we can have it done in three hours. It's so instant, so quick, so effortless.”

anamē got their new album campaign off to a blistering start with the release of 'Anywhere (Road Trippin')', which was added to Sirius XM BPM and saw support from Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Tiësto, Korolova, Mees Salomé, Sultan + Shepard and more. Over the coming weeks and months, the band will be pulling back the curtain on how an album comes together, through their social media channels and on their ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ podcast series.

anamē & Bien ‘Must Be Dreaming’ is out now on Anjunabeats. The duo recently joined Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge and will feature at all three Anjunabeats Outdoors shows in New York City, Denver and Montréal this August, as well as our Anjunabeats London and Amsterdam shows later this year.
