YokoO has been slowly gaining a well deserved reputation for quality the past few years. Already playing our events and an integral part of our family he first featured one of his productions on last Summer's sampler. Finally his own solo release sees the beautiful light of day. Each track perfectly crafts an atmosphere. Each a story unto itself. YokoO enlists friend and multi talented artist Retza to add an extra layer of emotion to his already complex musical compositions. The result? A three track EP to not only send you soaring in to space at certain moments but also, at he same, time have you explore organic musical jungles, oceans and deserts of our world and others yet discovered. Dutch producer Bas Bron aka Fatima Yamaha has been hammering out quality releases under numerous aliases for more than a decade now. Nevertheless it wasn’t until the 2015 re-issuing of his fourteen-year-old track ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ on Dekmantel Records, that his gush into the underground forefront has now exhilarated his unique talent. Fatima Yamaha starts of the 2017 year of Dekmantel Records with his second EP for the Amsterdam label and ‘Araya’ promises to be a worthy successor of his 2015 success.

The title track ‘Araya’ is the absolute eye catcher of this EP. Already tested in Fatima Yamaha’s highly anticipated live-sets in the last months, with great response, ‘Araya’ is a dramatic curtain raiser that only he can make. Next to that, Bron effectively spills his keen ear for melody on the A-side with his typical electro-funk with ‘Piayes Beach Bar And Grill’. On the flip crystalline synth drops, a classic piano and skipping drums are the main ingredients for ‘Romantic Bureaucracy’.

Following his release of the groovy original cut, multi-talented Alexander Kotz aka Elderbrook has unveiled a remix package of his latest single ‘Difficult To Love’. Featuring remixes from Amtrac, Monsoon Moon, MR H’s, Command Q and Nu Aspect, the remix pack will be released on Friday 12 May. 
 
The ‘Difficult To Love’ remixes are a nod to the explosive energy of summer ahead. Amtrac’s caressing breakdown of Kotz’s emotive vocals propels his cut as a firm dancefloor filler. Amtrac (aka Caleb Cornett) is forward-thinking with his production and DJ skills, having previously released remixes via Kitsune, Defected and Ministry of Sound.
 
The MR H’s remix blends a looping vocal with hi-hats and wavering synths, which flaunt his distinctive house style. Having been the first signee to Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard’s label Nothing Else Matters last year, the Manchester-based producer has also released records on Toolroom.
 
Meanwhile Command Q brings a burst of energy to the original cut, creating a trap-style sound and distorted Elderbrook vocals. The Australia-based producer is about to embark on a tour around his home turf, after releasing his latest single ‘Choo Choo’.
 
The last remix comes courtesy of Nu Aspect. Providing a more summery rendition, his cut perfectly blends deep bass and light synths. The upcoming Bristolian bass producer brings the remix package to a strong close. Each remix seamlessly strengthens different attributes of the original single.
 
Kotz secured his vocal reputation with Andhim’s remix of his single ‘How Many Times’ – which was taken from his first EP Simmer Down. Building on this success, the producer, singer and instrumentalist had his much-hyped sold-out headline show at XOYO London at the end of March. Garnering support from BBC Radio 1 DJs and credible tastemakers, Elderbrook is further cementing his status as an artist to watch.
