Helsloot has made tremendous waves in the last decade working behind the scene with some of dance music’s titans, and his individual projects harness influences from progressive, deep house, disco, and techno. With remixes for the likes of Bob Moses, Flux Pavilion, and Tinlicker coming alongside original productions on Astralwerks, Poesie, and This Never Happened, Helsloot has captured the attention of global tastemakers & dancers alike. As life returns to long silenced dancefloors, Helsloot provides a punchy pairing on his debut for XYZ - the Petal Dance EP.

The A-side Petal Dance scintillates the senses, capturing an electro-laden hook teeming with timelessness. A round sub brings warmth to the track’s core, while the everpresent groove swells and soothes throughout an elongated arrangement, offering ecstatic moments a-plenty. 

Remind Me welcomes playful percussion into the fold, while the basslines kicks us into motion on this low-slung heater. Energy elevates throughout the bridge, lifting the room to a higher plane. Dubbed as one to watch by BBC Introducing, London based artist Leena Punks evolved into a DJ and producer with a mix of complex synths, melodic techno and progressive house. Securing residencies at clubs such as Fabric, XOYO and Ministry of Sound, Punks has also played worldwide in Ibiza, Zurich and Berlin. Opening for Chic and Nile Rogers n 2019, she is back with a new tune – Mirage. 

An intense and all-consuming dance track, Mirage is a nod the 90s scenes which gripped the UK and propelled dance music into the limelight. When the beat drops you are transported to a warehouse at 2am with the choppy synth and pounding rhythm. The percussive house hook coupled with fizzy bass and effects give the mix a rounded and full feeling. Clever dynamics keep the intensity throughout as layers die down, locking you in to the nostalgic zone of Punks’ music – you are brought down, but never to zero, and once the beat rises again you will soon know about it.

From ancient Gelderland and its city of new church, Alex O'Rion rises "Around Us". A glittering edifice with crisp percussive foundations and bassline shines with melodic intensity. Sonically shifting, motifs echo into the distance with grace and poise, pervading the senses they fill the aural space with ease.

The age of "Envy" is brought into sharp focus with metronomic rhythmic force. Hypnotic and alluring, shakers fill the air with timing and precision while rippling keys add lightness of touch soaked in reverberated reflections and exquisite melancholy. An antidote to base emotion found in pure musical formulation.

"Ukko" reigns from above, the god of the sky unleashes thunderous musical expression. Cavernous bassline patterns rumble across the lower frequencies while resonant effects shatter the sonic landscape with pulsating white-noise swells. Sunlit sonic motifs emerge from the gloom in resplendent fashion to ease the oppression from the skies.
