Just a demo of some works in progress...did this today in  a quick 3 hr session. Vocals will need re-doing, but pretty happy with the guitar tracks. comments criticisms welcome ;)

Starling demo 

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! are a band that are as restless to succeed as their 
animated name suggests. Having weathered the storm of their debut album 
Sea Priest (2010) and its subsequent national tour, F!SRF! have re-focussed 
towards crafting their sophomore effort. In 2011 they’re working harder, 
longer and more intensively towards a more refined evolution of their unique 
mix of agitated pop hooks, textured sonic contrasts and the vigorous 
momentum of six kinetic players working in unison.  

Having bonded with UK producer Gareth Parton (Foals, The Go! Team, Holy 
Fuck) over a love of angular guitars and beer, the band nestled into Sing Sing 
studios to create a polished article worthy of their new-found determination 
and musical direction. Mastered in London by Nilesh Patel (Björk, Air, The xx); 
the shimmering result is lead single Panther Shrine, a perfect portrait of the 
band’s contemporary powers. Fuelled by its central looping guitar riff, it 
expands into a spacious landscape of dreamy synths,

Melbourne-via-Adelaide three piece Tough Uncle throw their hats into the ring with 2015's 

Focus - a deconstruction of sounds from past and current projects (Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, 

Danvers, Foreign/National), the group now presents a measured return to rock & roll. 

Focus is the next collaborative effort from the band and Gareth Parton (F!SR,F!, The Go! Team,

Foals), the partnership yielding a self contained three-and-a-half-minute “protobanger” 

drenched with restless melodic urgency. The band expound on the creeping songwriting 

influence of AM radio, coupled with hi-fi guitar and a signature rhythmic current.

Fresh off an Adelaide return show and support slot with Melbourne stalwarts Sunbeam 

Sound Machine & Foreign/National, Tough Uncle look to deliver the fruits of an industry 

homecoming.

It has been a while I know...But here is a first look at all of the blood, sweat and tears hard work that has been going on over the last 3 months. The 3 tracks here are currently being sent off for mastering following a few final touches. I hope you enjoy ;)
