I wrote this as part of my FAWM 2025 (February Album Writing Month) work. This was inspired by the Fire & Ice Festival in my town of Bethany Beach, Delaware. I made this version using 21st Century tools for a Christmas album my sisters had decided to do for our Uncle, who turned 100 in October 2025 and still loves his CDs! 

Winter Faire

Verse 1:
We didn’t last and that’s okay,
I see it now.
Some loves aren’t meant to stay—
But show you how.

Verse 2:
You taught my heart to feel again,
Even break.
I’d still do it all again—
For that.

Chorus:
Loving you wasn’t a mistake,
Just a season.
Some goodbyes don’t mean regret—
They mean reason.

Mostly.
Some memories don’t hurt anymore—
They glow.
