Since his childhood, music has been a huge part of ThnKs life. His mother would
play all sorts of music round the house and his father used to be a touring singer.
Much of his toddler years were spent in recording studios with his father.


The artist’s unique life story offers him a rarely unique insight into life which
shines through in his lyrics. ThnK grew up in Syracuse, New York and after getting
into trouble at school was relocated to the suburbs for a better life. His
perspective of living on both sides of the track, so to speak, gave the rapper a
fresh insight into the world around him. Noting he’s spent much of his life as an
“observer” looking in at the world from the outside. A fresh viewpoint which can
be seen in his conscious lyricism.


Throughout his early teens, he would remake his favorite beats from artists like
Timbaland, Swiss Beats and Dr Dre. He soon began coming up with his own
melodies and by the age of 15 was writing and producing his own tracks. The
young artist would often play his own material at shows in small local venues.
Though taking a hiatus from music after high-school, he never stopped
harnessing his craft. Now after years of working on his sound he is back and
stronger than ever with a series of highly anticipated releases in the works.
