'Turkish-born, Barcelona-based DJ and producer Elif celebrates the launch of her debut label Marginalia today, with the release of the imprint’s eagerly anticipated inaugural offering, Medusa EP.

Conceived and created as a community to support, nurture and develop the incredible output of the producers whose music forms the backbone of Elif’s DJ sets worldwide, Marginalia’s opening three-track opus features two separate collaborations with hotly-tipped Brazilian producer Althoff and Tel Aviv-based artist Takiru, alongside an original solo offering from label boss Elif. Marginalia’s inaugural release opens with its blistering title track Medusa; a stunning original mix from Elif herself, which presents all of the hypnotic sensibilities we’ve come to know and love from the Turkish producer’s impeccable output. Laying a foundation of chugging percussion, skittish samples and snarling bass, Medusa unfolds a fantastical patchwork of trippy synth-work, ebbing and flowing between each element to heady effect, as Elif opens up Marginalia’s catalogue in style. 
 
Referencing the wildly imaginative notes and markings made in the margins of books dating back to the 11 th Century, the EP’s aptly-titled second offering, Run Wild, sees Elif team up with close friend and fellow Barcelona-based artist Althoff. Championing a sinister, medieval sound palette that’s founded on raw, organic house and melodic techno sentiments, the pair’s inaugural collaboration is a masterclass from the off, and one that fully embraces the label’s sound and ethos. Deliciously fluid and wholly authentic, Run Wild is primed for late-night listening and already looks set to enter into the selections of dance music’s international touring elite. 
 
Last, but by no means least, Elif rounds out Marginalia’s first EP with another debut collaboration, this time with hotly-tipped Israeli producer Takiru; one of the leading artists within Tel-Aviv’s flourishing underground circuit. Their intoxicating vocal cut, WTF, serves as a rapturous leftfield closer that transcends the notion of genres, instead opting for stark ambiguity and originality. Combining the seemingly disparate realms of 80s rock, Italo disco, breakbeat and electronica, the pair’s joint offering produces a daring, yet warmly familiar sound that’s as niche as it is versatile.

Canadian producer, director, and composer Errance is set to release his third single, ‘Oxytocin’, on May 2nd, 2024 via Société Holographique de Montréal. The track follows the release of his first two singles, ‘Guidance’ and ‘Idyll’, and precedes the release of his self-titled debut album in May 2024. ‘Guidance’ received support from CLASH Magazine, BBC Radio 6’s Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant. Errance is the solo musical project of Gabriel Gagnon, who is beginning to carve out a place for his own musical expression in the wake of a process of deep introspection, self-growth and a profound connection to nature. Both singles are lifted from his upcoming self-produced album, Errance, set for release on May 17th, 2024.

Before embarking on his solo project, Gabriel has boasted a prolific career as a producer and composer across various industries. From producing internationally-acclaimed records for several artists such as Daniela Andrade, MayFly and Geoffroy (just to name a few), to composing soundtracks for a number of series and short movies, to working on international campaigns advertising for brands like Yves Saint-Laurent, Crown Royal and Louis Vuitton, this sonic savant is no novice to the world of music production in all of its forms. He also shares a close musical relationship and music house with Hologramme.

Hailing from Montréal and currently based in Orford, Canada, Gabriel began exploring sounds and beats on his father's Yamaha PSR-32 synthesizer at a young age. At 22, Gabriel stepped into the world of audio experimentation, securing a role as a studio assistant. Collaborating with various artists, he honed his skills in the service of others. Despite his deep love for music production, arranging compositions, and crafting sonic landscapes - however, it wasn't until later in life, when a period of enforced pause granted him the opportunity to experiment, that he began to make space for his own musical expression. As Errance, he delivers a sound inspired by the likes of Floating Points, Mount Kimbie, Max Cooper and Jon Hopkins.

In the late '90s he released his first single, an album he wrote and sold without consideration for downloads. Available as .wav and .mp3 formats, it was distributed by metadubsoundesign.com (MDSD). The new millennium came and with it came the rise of digital distribution. The delivery mode of the industry changed and the ease to release and distribute music was beneficial yet chaotic for the young artist.  Under the name of Novox, with Lostra in the early 00's, he released 5 EP’s under the novox moniker. In the past decade, Thodoris continued his solo career under the name and in cooperation with CJ Jeff, released tracks on various labels. The global distribution and sales of this project brought excellent reviews and support from the biggest names in the club scene like James Zabiela, Richie Hawtin, Groove Armada, Tiefswartz, Dennis Ferrer, Jerome Sydenham, Josh Wink and many, many others.

Working with various clubs, events, and festivals, this multi-talented producer has played at the likes of Watergate, Cavo Paradiso, Synch Festival, Dybbuk clb prive, 6Dogs, Salt N' Pepper and many others...and doesn't intend to stop traveling. Thodoris also writes and produces without sticking to one sound, enjoying the culture of clubbing and coming from an eclectic background of spinning Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, R n' B, Breaks, etc. He believes that "the quality, character, and distribution of the ensemble is what makes the difference and not the kind of music we play". With this concept in mind he always pushes to create an atmosphere to entertain a crowd wherever they are found.
