I recorded all the vocals for this track back in 2006. This version of the song has never been released.  In 2009 a new version of this song called "The Moon Shield" appeared on an album by the Hungarian black metal band, Aetherius Obscuritas, but with only a few of my vocals.

The lyrics were inspired by a short story from Gustav Meyrink. dealing with the Samtsheh Mitshebat, the highest master from the order of the Red Cap Dugpa, an obscure sect of black magicians from the east(Bhutan/Tibet).

The middle of the song features an atmospheric section with Tuvan/Mongolian throatsinging by Lord Kaiaphas.

This song was written in 2007. It was a collaboration with Lord Ahriman(Dark Funeral).
Ahriman recorded his guitar parts in his home in Sweden and send them to Lord Kaiaphas for mixing.
The original version of this song has never been released.
In 2012 Lord Kaiaphas made a new recording of the song, using the same guitar recordings from 2007.
The bass parts were recorded by Mantus(Mysteriis/Patria).

This song was written in 2012 and features Scorpios(Crimson Moon/ex-Melechesh/ex-Zemial)on guitars and bass.

Thokkian Vortex is a Black Metal band featuring the Lord Kaiaphas, the former singer for the Norwegian black metal band, Ancient (95-98). Their debut album, "Into The Nagual" was released at the end of January 2016 by Unexploded records(Sweden). Their second album, "Thy Throne is Mine", was released in 2020 by Non Serviam Records(Netherlands).
A new album will be released in 2025.
