This is a cover of the famous Bob Dylan song which I recorded today on Dylan's 80th birthday.
To celebrate his birthday I took my Dylan Songbook and played quite a few songs from it on my acoustic guitar. In the end I had the idea to record one or two of them, so this is what I did! My voice is already strained from the long session as you can hear.
Recording Setup: Rode M3 for the guitar, Audio Technica AT2035 for the voice, into my Audient iD14 Audio Interface, two tracks recorded in Cubase Elements, some very basic mixing and finalising of the song.

This is a song which I recorded earlier this year '21. The lyrics to the song are haunting me since the mid 90's, when I wrote and recorded the earliest version of this one. This is my fourth attempt, the lyrics and the arangement changed a lot over the years. Never realy liked my earlier versions, I dig this new version more, need to wait and see if this is a keeper.

Won't Get Me Alive

This is an old song of mine which I originally recorded in the mid-nineties. It is based on another song I wrote in the eighties.
It is now the first song I recorded and mixed on my new  Audio-Interface, the Audient id14. The overall sound  quality is better than in the past, I would say. For the high-gain guitars I used Peavey's Revalver 4, the Angel Amp, and the 3120 for the solo. The clean guitars are mainly Scuffhams S-Gear, plus  Revalvers RedHot, a clean setting. Mostly Rosen Digital IR's were used.

A New Dawn

This is a new song I recorded a few days ago.  For the guitars I used again Scuffham's S-Gear and the MegaSingle from the Plugin Alliance. Drums are SSD4, the Bass is NI's Scarbee Rickenbacker, played with a cheap keyboard. I also played my acoustic on the chorus. The initial idea developed quickly into this song but I didn't have an idea for the lyrics. So I found an old punk song of mine, which I wrote in the nineties, whose lyrics fitted quite nicely.

I just found this old song of mine, which for some reason I never uploaded here.
It is a little bit different from the stuff I'm doing recently ;-)
but it's what I did, so it belongs here.
Originally written and recorded in 1996 I must have re-recorded the song six or seven years ago. No drums, no bass, just guitars and voice. The amp must have been my old Peavey Vypyr, mic'd for the feedback.

A Place For Me

Tom is a musician living in Frankfurt, Germany.
He was writing and recording songs since his teenage years. In the 90s he was playing guitar in some bands (punk and metal) but today, working full time, family and two kids, there is just enough time for some occasional home recording sessions. 
In the past he was recording his songs with the help of two tape recorders. Now he is using an old PC with some basic home recoding equipment. That's progress.
His musical influences range from blues over classic rock to punk and alternative rock. These days he sometimes finds himself doing singer/songwriter stuff. And enjoying it.
He makes music because he simply loves it, nothing more.
In his spare time you won't find him writing messages on social networks, he's rather writing or recording songs or simply strumming the guitar.
