Electronic music producer Petar Dundov unveils "Tears of St Lawrence," a mesmerising techno single that captures the beauty, mystery, and power of the cosmos. Infused with hypnotic melancholy and an uplifting sense of serenity, this track is an auditory journey through the celestial phenomenon that inspired its creation—the Perseids meteor shower. 

"Tears of St Lawrence" is a smooth blend of raw techno impetus and the vast harmonic soundscapes of progressive house, anchored by a pulsating bassline with peak-time drive. The track is crafted using analogue modular synthesisers, sculpting immersive melodies that ebb and flow like shooting stars across the night sky. The unmistakable groove of the Roland 606 drum machine adds a timeless, classic rhythm, grounding the ethereal synth work with crisp, rolling percussions. 

"I wanted to translate the feeling of watching the Perseids—the fleeting, yet powerful beauty of something beyond our reach—into sound. The track carries a hypnotic melancholy, but at the same time, there’s a sense of hope and serenity, like staring at the vastness of space and feeling both small and infinite," says Petar.

I am a devout Christian, but due to my current technical and financial limitations, I am still a beginner-level hobby musician. I live in Hungary, in the city of Gyula.
I studied piano from January 1977 to January 1979, which I unfortunately stopped due to the early death of my mother. (Later, unfortunately, my father also died.) Since about 1977, my favorite musical artist has been Jean Michel Jarre.
I have always been inspired by Jean Michel Jarre, although my current songs - due to the limitations of my current simple technique - are still very far from what I really want to create. 😊
