From the album "Between Jazz and Classical" this is a new version/arrangement of Caccini's Ave Maria. It's a classical piece, but here there are some jazz influences blended in. But in a respectful and real way, not to create any special effect, merely to reproduce a great piece of music in a personal way.

Here is music I wrote to a poem by Emily Brontë.  It describes how a child sees the past, the present and the future, in quite a beautiful way. Piano and vocals, a little jazzy, 3/4 time.  It's also on the album "Famous Poems and Jazz".

The poem is as follows:

Tell me, tell me, smiling child,
What the past is like to thee ?
'An Autumn evening soft and mild
With a wind that sighs mournfully.'

Tell me, what is the present hour ?
'A green and flowery spray
Where a young bird sits gathering its power
To mount and fly away.'

And what is the future, happy one ?
'A sea beneath a cloudless sun ;
A mighty, glorious, dazzling sea
Stretching into infinity.' 


Past, Present, Future (Poem by Emily Brontë)

I wrote music to the poem by George Eliot, "Roses". The poem is    quite dreamy and poetic, and the music is basically a jazz ballad. It is sort of soft and mellow. It is also on the album "Famous Poems and Jazz".

Let the old snow be covered with the new:
The trampled snow, so soiled, and stained, and sodden.

When Winter dies, low at the sweet Spring's feet
Let him be mantled in a clean, white sheet.

Let the old life be covered by the new:
The old past life so full of sad mistakes,
Let it be wholly hidden from the view
By deeds as white and silent as snow-flakes.

Ere this earth life melts in the eternal Spring
Let the white mantle of repentance fling

Searching And Finding - calm jazz ballad

A traditional Christmas Song. It is the Swedish version of Adolphe Adam's "O Holy Night" (or "Cantique de Noël" in French). It is performed on vocals and piano only, in quite a low-key manner, although it is classically inspired. On the album "Snow Is Falling".
