I am well aware that the original is crafted with a level of musical precision most artists are hoping to ever reach. However, it's fun to experiment. To see what would happen if my moonwalking childhood hero would get mixed up with my style of music, keeping true to the original. Because it deserves just that.

The journey of Hug Records started six months ago and we are delighted that we had already five amazing artists contributing to our project. @thomas-gaarthuis was one of the first artists to commit to this back in July. We decided to open this year with a beautiful edit of the Fugees from him. We usually check with the original artists before releasing edits, but neither Wyclef Jean nor his ageny headmusic replied to our email. We love the edit though and we decided to release it nevertheless. However, it is on donation basis and you can decide yourself how much you want to pay. 100% of the income from this track will go to our charity partner Love Foundation.
