Boccherini’s fandango arranged for guitar quartet by the talented arranger David Poulsen. The guitar ensemble consists of Mathias Kofoed, Mads Walmod, Tobias Thornfeldt og Thomas Lyhne. The piece was recorded for a MGK project.

Fandango by Luigi Boccherini

The piece is composed by Mads Walmod and Thomas Lyhne. It is performed by the clarinetist Solvej Engtoft Johansen and the pianists Simon Valentin and Søren Frandsen. 
The piece is inspired by a myth from Norse mythology. The myth is “The binding of Fenrir” which appears in the Poetic Edda. The composition attempts to reflect some of the events in the story, while also being our own interpretation.
