Huxley is a name you should already be well familiar with. Having delivered releases for an enviable handful of labels (Tsuba, Hypercolour and 20:20 Vision), he now joins the ranks of AUS music.

Huxley's rise to the forefront of the UK dance music scene has been an exceptional and speedy process, establishing himself quickly as a figurehead with a foot in both the UK Garage and House scenes. This release will tip off a successful year, that has seen the young producer tour around America, host his own Rinse FM show all while running his ever-dependable Saints & Sonnets imprint.

Whether veering towards deeper cuts (alongside Ethyl) on his own label, turning in cast iron grooves for Tsuba or full vocal barnstormers like ‘Let It Go’ for Hypercolour in early 2012, there’s a clearly defined yet versatile sound to Huxley productions that marks him out as a truly talented producer.

Poker Flat Recordings welcomes back the ever-prolific Alex Niggemann for another speaker-troubling dispatch. This time out, the Aoen and Soulfooled boss drops a hea- vy–duty release that more than lives up to his usual high standards.
'Materium' is epic in every sense of the word- a sprawling, tough journey into analog tech- no – with a dash of house thrown in. It rips through the speakers – the crisp and aggres- sive production provides the space for grow- ling synths and atmospheric, tense pads. What’s more, the whole track audaciously dissolves into silence mid way through – be- fore exploding back into life via a descending analog synth line.

The 'Turn Around' EP is one that's been in the works for some time and its accompanying remix is one of the most anticipated tracks of 2014. If you've been to see the likes of Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Solomun, Maceo Plex or Tale Of Us recently then you will have heard it, loved it, and wanted it.

The mesmerising Âme remix has been gliding its way round sound systems across the globe since the start of the year and it's no surprise as to why. The perfect end of set track, it enchants its way through eight minutes of euphoric vocals, grand synths, astounding builds and simply gorgeous drops.

We reckon its one of the best tracks of the year and you can listen to it for the first time in full.

If Danny Daze decided to cut his music career short after the blinding 'Silicon' EP on Jimmy Edgar's Ultramajic, he could have done so knowing he'd left something special behind. 

The title track's a freakish whirl of drawn-out horns, gun-shot drums and a seriously messed up vocal, and the rest of the tracks possess the kind of 'WTF' moments the Miami producer creates so well.

Brighton-based club-wrecker extraordinaire Maxxi Soundsystem has already accrued the honor of releasing on Maceo Plex's Ellum and Hypercolour, but for his upcoming Culprit release, he re-united with Name One. We've got the exclusive on "Lone Raver," a moody, laid-back tune that's the perfect kind of tune to play when something ominous happens at your beach party. This one gave us BPM flashbacks.

One of the most accomplished and revered producers in electronic music today makes his solo debut on Kompakt: French mastermind AGORIA joins our release fold after a foretaste with his stellar 2013 remix of Michael Mayer's "Good Times" (KOMPAKT 272), presenting us with his new mesmerizing floor epic BAPTÊME. 

"I'm very happy that BAPTÊME will finally be released", says the producer, hinting at the track's long and winding path to completion: "it's a very special tune for me, representing a lot of changes in my personal life these last two years. It signals my 'second life', if you will". Meaning "baptism" in French, the cut's title is indeed a perfect fit for its particularly festive spirit, exuding both solemnity and sheer pleasure, hallmarks of AGORIA's unique brand of emotional and versatile techno. Bouncy, minimalist percussion is joined by an extensive, dub-styled sub-bass and floating shards of atmospheric synths, quickly escalating into a high definition mover fitted with gorgeous swabs of piano and a keen sense for emotional space.  

On the flipside, the original track gets a fascinating rework from DJ Tennis and The Rapture's Luke Jenner, whose LUCKY BLUE EYES VERSION adds more wiggle room to the proceedings, bolstering its loosened grip with enticing new vocals. In yet another step forward, AGORIA himself revisits the remix, sharpening its blurry edges and successfully putting the vocals to work in a prime time environment: "my friend Patrice Bardot - the chief editor of Tsugi Magazine - even said that this one sounds like The Doors for the 21st century", he adds - and indeed, it's next level dreaming for those who need a little bit more from their floor than just another knock on the head.

"Just" wastes no time locking the brisk rhythm into place before a wriggling earworm of a lead pans across the channels. Atmospheric swells are pieced by gatling-gun snares; the tension builds but never releases, making this a surefire precursor to the bulk of heavyweight set climaxes you're likely to hear this summer. As ever, the aural equivalent of 20,000 bicep emojis.

Featuring the vocal work of Danielle Moore, the Bristolian producer Maxxi Soundsystem is just about to release his second 12" for Futureboogie, one of our favourite imprints. On it he presents two versions of the track 'Near Me' and new track 'In The Woods' but it's the 'Club Mix' of lead track that we've selected to present to you today, ahead of Maxxi's return to Room One this coming Saturday night (6th June). It's one of those deep and emotive tunes that fits perfectly into those post-3am immersion moments, gloriously carried by the type of soaring bassline and melody combo that we've come to love him for.

Maxxi Soundsystem Feat Danielle Moore - Near Me (Club Mix)

Time Has Changed is a tech-house label that operates out of France. Their raison d'etre is house music on a grandiose and dancefloor-inclined scale, and their latest release is a case in point from that regard. Always ones to champion new talent, it arrives on our desks thanks to the inimitable works of the Cosmic Cowboys, an Italian pair whoâ€™ve previously released on Time Has Changed and also boast credits for the likes of Superfiction and Bedrock.

It all gets under way courtesy of title track, â€˜â€™Perseusâ€™â€™. As dramatic a track as youâ€™re likely to stumble over this side of 2015, itâ€™s full of elongated plays and raw, dramatic sweeping synths of the sort that you canâ€™t help but be bowled over by. If youâ€™re out this weekend to leave your audience in raptures, then this one should do very nicely indeed. In a just world, itâ€™ll have dancefloors trembling in Europe and beyond this summer. 

Betokoâ€™s remix isnâ€™t bad either. The sometime Diynamic man has made a career out of such sprightly tech-house gems, and he reminds us of his talents thanks to a remix that loses much of the originalâ€™s full-on vibes but cleverly replaces them with a more supple and subtle re-working.
