Born and raised in Dresden and later Berlin, @caniche_sophie evolved her specific preference for Rave Techno, which she would describe as fast and wild but also very groovy and even melancholic at times. First attempts of deejaying took place soon after moving to Vienna, where she still lives today and plays most of her gigs. 
Besides fervidly selected gems reaching from Schranz, Groovecore and Hard Trance to Tribal Techno she keeps surprising with unheard secret weapons of the early 2000s. Routed in the newly founded Push - Female DJ Network which aims to support and connect other FLINTA* DJs within the scene her passionate goal is to share mesmerizing experiences based on the very core values of the scene - freedom, equality and togetherness. 
With her latest cautious attempts of producing her own sound we're absolutely curious about what will follow next.

We present to you our podcast series called "System Exclusive". With this we want to give up and coming artists a platform to share their vision of music and mixing, whether it's a DJ set or a live performance.

We start with the German-Italian duo called Hēi Project, who recorded a vinyl-only set. Enjoy an hour of diverse and carefully selected electronic music.

Two creative minds capable of unifying the sensory spheres of sight and sound into a single element. This is the synaesthesia that connected Laura and Thea alias Hēi project, an all-female duo “one of the most promising on the Italian Berlin scene” (cit. ParkeJ Channel)
The project was born in Berlin in 2018 from the union between Laura, Milanese pianist and composer, and Thea, Berlin director and founder of CØR, an all-female film production house. Always passionate about electronic music, the two take over a former audiovisual project, Blaenkminds, and lead it to a more universal dimension, giving life to Hēi project.

/hēiː/ is the phonetic transcription of the Chinese character 黑 which oscillates between dark, sinister and forbidden, illegal. In fact, the duo surfs on the edges of peak time techno, ‘hacking’ elements of electro clash, industrial and breakbeat influence giving it a face through uncompromising visual productions.

The ambitious purpose of their performances is to bring the clubbing atmosphere into a sensory journey made of expressive shapes and multiform languages, through the mixing of self-produced filmic narratives with refined and often eclectic selections of electronic music. A courageous challenge that continues to find the engagement of an audience that is willing to indulge in a dreamlike flow made of sounds and images.

The much sought-afer musical proposal of Laura and the visual contents produced and directed by Thea for international artists such as Kaiserdisco, KaroJe, Steve Bug, Nur Jaber, Marco Resmann etc., have opened the doors of some of the most renowned clubs of the berlinese techno scene like Watergate, OHM, Berghain Kantine, Funkhaus, soon approaching more far-reaching horizons, from the NY Verboten to the Shanghai ex Elevator.

During the pandemic they embrace the path of record production and in a few months they print the first vinyl on the local Milanese label “Syntheke Records” with the acid techno remix "Intro - Bereshit" mentioned several times by the DJaneMag and ParkeJ channel press.
And this is only the beginning.

I have a musical motto: 

Digging through hypnotics, guided by grooves. 

This applies as a main principle in my life as well: The hypnotics are represented by those confusing and introspective moments, meant for us to grow up, followed by the need of will and courage to roll forward, without fears (grooves). 

I’m Thomas Rob, Techno DJ/Producer and Astrologer. I always had that inner urge meant to prove to the world that it's okay to be different and at the same time, that you don't have to choose between your pleasures if you can do both and make you happy. Also, I believe that life is about a constant knowledge development and evolution. So, I’m spreading my vision and thoughts about life through a high-detailed hypno music, meant to generate meditative states of being. 

After a long period of music discoveries and experienced feelings, during which my musical tastes started to develop from the big room and industrial side of techno, I suddenly felt in love with Berlin's underground movement before 2020, a moment which made me spread my vision in a more mental and hypnotic way, touched by rolling and repetitive grooves. I felt that I recovered a lost part of my soul. 

I consider that ,,the hypno groove,, could turn on that necessary ,,eargasm,, ,meant to keep intense and profound trips for the crowd since the start until the end of the playtime.  If I would describe my music in a few words, I would point it out a total generator of inner freedom and deep states of counsciousness.

,,It's like the light at the end of the tunnel''.
