This chill blend of trip hop and dream pop opens up the band's final studio album, 'Flux,' released in 1998. "City Moon" has held the top track position on both Apple Music and Spotify in recent years, as well as being the top lyric viewed on Genius, so it's become many folks first introduction to Love Spirals Downwards.

This song was featured on the 'Heavenly Voices Part V' compilation CD released by Hyperium in 1998 and the 'Samadhi Experience - Part 1" compilation CD released by Samadhi Musik in 2005.

In 2023, Love Spirals Downwards released an expanded and remastered version of the album, called ‘Flux Deluxe Edition,’ and in 2024 they released the first ever vinyl edition of the album through Lost In Ohio. The white vinyl 12 inch record features the original 9 tracks of the original release but newly remastered from the original files.

X-Kalay are ringing in their milestone 10th release with a various artist compilation, and what a release it is. Launching only last year, the London-based imprint has put out quite a few releases already from artists such as Rudolf C, Kask and No Moon amongst others. Their sound ranges from more melodic, lo-fi sounding productions to dubbed out and downright acid-y tracks. Their 10th release features producers from three continents. Mucho Sueno from Chile, two Australians in E.Davd and Escape Artist, and finally Zurich, Switzerland-based Douala who we're premiering today.

With a couple of releases on Gnork's label Blorp, Douala has been crafting a bit of a name for himself in the lo-fi scene. Generally his productions have a more melodic flare but in this case, the A1 track Mysteries of Life strays a bit from what we've come to expect from the producer. Taking a more minimalistic and dubby approach, the single has a hypnotic air about it with an upbeat rhythm but spaced out and reverberating cosmic synths, perfect for the late night hours. This instrospective tune is not one you want to miss out on and the rest of the release is a treat as well!

Great news - @Jungle-Gym-records is releasing a full length album, even better news - we’re premming the eerie, snaking electro anthem that is Discoveries Unlimited. The album’s produced by Intimacy, and is garnering early support from the trailblazing, scene pacesetting @dj-seinfeld.

A rolling bassline which features a tint of acid. Shimmering keys; the wavelengths of which vibrate up your skin, and on impact disturb the tissue’s architecture-  don’t worry though, let them oscillate. From the knowledge gained on his own sonic self experimentation our scientist was not only able to hone his craft, but set out on an expedition of self discovery to push the envelope of our species' understanding. Discoveries, unlimited - woahh.
