S02E01 - Anxiety

This is the ending section of an experimental track that was recorded to test a recently refurbished guitar that had been in disrepair for years. The guitar was recorded in one take (freestyle) and the vsti Piano and Saxophone were layered over in post. Throughout the next couple of weeks/months, addition guitars and vocals were layered on top of the track whenever I felt like letting off a little steam. This was my first attempt at a one-man choir.

A freestyle "drunken in my college apartment late at night in 2014" DI recorded guitar track (Right Channel). The double guitar track was done/comped the following day (Left Channel). The thunderstorm was recorded outside my old basement.

Track 1

I hit a creative wall on this track. Decided to post it and move on. I might come back to it at a later date(ie this is a lot of chunks glued together). I might delete and re-post the finished mix at a later date. Nothing has actually been mixed. Lead guitar is majority panned right, rhythm guitar is majority panned left (breakdown only), and drums are RAW.
 
Signal Chain (so far):
Lead (bridge pickup) & rhythm (neck pickup) have an experimental blend of a Fender Champ amp (mic'd with a Fredman technique centered) and a DI put through an Emissary & IR (hard-panned to each side).

Drums are a Pulse drum kit with Remo heads. Mics are an SM57 on snare, Behringer C-2's on Cymbals, AKG D112 on kick, and Shure PG56's on toms. Overheads are hard-panned and there is a compressor on the drum mix, but that is all.

DAW is Reaper.

Track 7 - RAW WIP

Recorded ~20min "album" during college 2007-2014. Recorded a bunch of other local bands to gain recording experience. Still experimenting/writing music for the love of it.
