This concerto was inspired by the classic television show, Babar, written as a last minute assignment for my college orchestration class.

Dream Catcher

Khaled Hosseini's book, 'Kite Runner', describes 'Yelda' as the winter solstice and the longest night of the year. Kids stay up late to hear stories and lullabies from the older folks. It is also described as they way the main character interprets not being able to see the woman he loves between nights.
