En esta ocasión El Barón trae el mixtape de un momento que recuerda con nostalgia. Un tiempo en el que sus días tenían dos soles. Justo cuando llego a Nueva York y tuvo que pasar varios meses como asistente de cocina, repartidor de correo, paseador de perros, limpia vidrios y barrendero. Lo único que lo acompañaba era un listado de música que junto a el veía
como caía el sol y salía el siguiente.

Dicen que cuando los primeros rayos del día tocan la tierra hacen que esta suene de cierta manera. En cada año nuevo, el nacimiento del nuevo sol alarga este sonido durante horas, como si fuera una canción. Las historias hablaban de una enorme playa en una isla en medio del pacífico llamada Samoa, el único lugar en donde puede vivirse este extraño fenómeno y donde El Barón tuvo el privilegio de recibir el primer sol del año, rodeado de nativos que con instrumentos nunca antes vistos se unieron al concierto que inspiró este mixtape.

I created this music edit after watching a documentary about thäi street food where I discovered that amazing original song from 70's … I fell in love with the voice of this thaï singer called « Ream Daranoi » and it brought me back instantly to this lovely country. I kept very few elements of the original track, focusing only on the vocals and adding a more danceable groove. I hope you will enjoy it and play it everywhere.

//What do you love about Yamba?

Hey friends! I’m really happy to be part of this series, as Yamba is one of my favorite places to play because it’s not only about playing, it’s just about the whole lifestyle and experience: the place, the food, the staff, the people, everything just feels so well put together.

//What’s the idea behind this Yamcast?

For this set in particular I thought of what I like to play when I see the silhouettes of people dancing as the sun goes down in the coast of Lisboa. It’s a bit disco, a bit balearic, but with a steady groove all along, that’s how I like it.

//What have you been up to recently?

I was supposed to kickstart my summer tour this weekend at Yamba, but unluckily quarantine has got me home. Anyhow, I’m taking this time out to rest all the heavy touring I’ve done the last 2 years and prepare my music for the day we all can dance together again. Also, I’ve been woking on new tracks with my Bondi Bondi project I run with my pals Signo and Julian Piaggio.
