In August of 2009, I was taking care of my father for a week while my mother went to Maryland. At the time, she was his primary caregiver. I continued--in person--to try to record the memories my father wanted so desperately to share. Unfortunately, his dementia was progressing. This was the beginning of a task that would never really be completed.
