Good morning world,

It’s been a while to say the least… So life progress report- I’m just coming into the final month of my MSc in Quaternary Science at Royal Holloway, which means I’m meant to be hard at it with my dissertation, essentially the biggest piece of work undertaken in my life, to date. Naturally, I’m filling this period with anything but work, meaning the musician in me is thriving and more keen than ever to pick up the guitar. 

Life is a funny old bean and has proven so these last few months, which can only be described as ‘out of the blue’. Love, loss and life have all been of poignance; a mixture of events that you can’t help but mull over in one of those “am I doing life right?" moments. 

Anywho here are the fruits of all this codswallop:

 

Memento Mori

The Moment

Time is right:

It’s usually a source of immense frustration that it takes me years to finish anything but for this song it actually helped. I started writing this in 2014 whilst shamelessly grumpy and sauntering around in relationship blues. I was about to start a new job and as such thought I was the bees knees and too much of a kingpin for relationships to get in my way. Little did I know. Turns out the relationship was a keeper and the job would take the backseat. I was right however about us “soon to be riding a wave”; safe to say my Ruth and I have been riding it together ever since.
