Framed is a lovely, Season 5-inspired Mavis story by The Suddery Station Master on YouTube, and I was given the honor of making a musical score for it. Was great fun, and I am happy to share some of that music with you today. Here is Mavis' suite and Ffarquhar Run, hope you enjoy!

Thomas & Friends - The Skarloey Railway Theme (Series 2)

Patch Notes: 

Creating a mellow pulse wave chord progression with the new MCO (mkII)’s SID GUTS emulation, a porting of our popular discontinued SID GUTS DELUXE module. 

The new MCO is a highly versatile digital VCO and voice module with a broad collection of unique, high-quality synth voices, each with extensive, customizable parameters. 

Using the SID GUTS voice a 2 chord progression is created by modulating the MCO’s global chord setting with a square wave LFO from Pamela’s PRO Workout. Moving to the Chord Invert page, CV2 is assigned using the quick assign button combo (Hold back + twist encoder), to step up and down between inversions, broadening the range of the chords with arpeggiator like changes. CV assigned to the Filter Cutoff is then increased with the built in attenuation setting (accessed by holding the encoder) to brighten the voice. Finally, the built in Envelope is assigned to modulate the Pulse Width of the SID square wave, adding further motion to the rich chords. Final tweaks are performed by shifting octaves, tweaking the on board envelope and fading out the MCO with the output level.
