Canto do Rio (Song of the River) is an instrumental song by legendary Portuguese Guitarist Carlos Paredes.

I loved the music of Carlos Paredes so much that I decided to learn the Portuguese Guitar, and spent 6 months of my Erasmus year in 2013 living in Coimbra, Portugal. There I had a few Portuguese Guitar lessons at the Secção de Fado of the University of Coimbra, and realised that the Portuguese Guitar is incredibly difficult play, as you can only use your index finger and thumb!

Thus, if your technique is lacking (like mine), it is a rather tiring instrument to play, even if you have played the guitar for 13 years. To fully appreciate this song, I would recommend listening to the original played by the master, Carlos Paredes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlyMI...
