SILHOUETTE  

In the light of the moon, there I stood,
all alone, all alone
silhouette of a girl, I did see, 
oh she moved, like a shadow
and I was trying to place the face that I had seen
peculiarly familiar to me.

And slowly out of the night into light she strode
in my direction
and the silk of the dress seemed to flow with the wind
with the wind
and I was frozen in awe, I was speechless, 
she was gorgeous
peculiarly familiar to me.

And she whispered, 
"I can take away your pain, I can cool your flames,
I can cool your flames.
and I can show you how to love, how to give it up, up, up." 

yeah ;) 

And in the dark of the room I was left all alone, all alone
silhouette of a girl outta sight must've snuck, out the window
and I'm left trying to place the face that haunts my dreams, 
peculiarly familiar to me.

SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

She held onto my hand, she knew my thoughts
she held onto my grief and all my flaws
and I kept saying that she'd be better off
I said darling cut the strings, and she tied a knot. 

And she told me who she was and why she came, 
and soon I found a spark in all my flames.
And she said, "you say you don't know love, but you know pain?"
I said "I know 'em both, and girl, it's all the same." 

And the things she said are troubling to recall
that beneath my skin there's something beautiful

So I asked her if she'd loved, and if she'd lost
she said she knew the game; she knew the cost
so I said "Don't stick around, girl you better go"
she said "I'd rather try again, than die alone".
