This offering is my debut solo recording and a culmination of 40 years of study and development, bringing together my love for flutes of the world, improvisation, and the intentional use of music for healing. After decades of study and performance and teaching, it is for the healing potential of music and sound that I make this contribution. Thomas Workman is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound healer, instrument builder, visual artist, teacher, and founder of Ancient2Future Sound Healing.

Thomas performs and records with the quartet, “Levanta”, including Gabriel Dresdale on cello, Timothy Hill on guitars and voice, with Ev Mann on percussion. Levanta’s repertoire includes original compositions and original arrangements of music by Hermeto Pascoal, Abdullah Ibrahim, and Dave Holland. 

Thomas also plays and records with Sonark Trio, including Gabriel Dresdale: cello, and Joakim Lartey: percussion. Sonark focuses on original and spontaneous compositions, utilizing a deep collective rapport and improvisation.
