Maxim Kovalskiy - Rhythms Of Consciousness (Radio Edit)

Thommes is a techno DJ and producer based near Frankfurt, whose musical journey began in late 2009 with the purchase of his first turntables. Initially influenced by house artists like Deadmau5 and Boris Dlugosch, he quickly developed a passion for driving tech-house and uncompromising techno.

After several intense years of DJing in clubs such as Exhaus and Grüne Rakete in Trier, and achieving his first successes in contests—including two wins at the Open Decks Night at Elektroküche Cologne—doors began to open to the broader regional scene.

Through DJ Con Tacto, he became part of TAKTVOLL, gained a residency with platforms like Südstadt Beats and Herzblut Radio, and later joined the infamous "Pirates of Cologne", who became widely known for their legendary underground and tunnel raves far beyond Cologne.

He performed at events like Castle Freaks by Sebastian Groth, sharing the stage with notable names such as Kerstin Eden, Hackler & Kuch, and Angy Kore. Further milestones included residencies at Techno Dom (Südstadt Beats) and Defense of Techno.

After a short break to focus on his family, Thommes returned with a powerful comeback, and his first production gained international recognition in 2021. His debut release "ULURU" on Studio3000 Records (Jens Lissat) entered directly into the Beatport Top 100 Techno Charts. This was followed by other tracks like "SURCHARGE", "IN MY MIND", and the acid mix of "TAKE MY BODY" on TCP Records, which climbed to number 8 on the Beatport Techno Hype Charts.

Since 2022, Thommes has been releasing regularly on the German underground label Affenkäfig Records, with tracks like "Compromise", "Sewing Machine", "Choirs", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Robotic Love Affair", and "Hypervoid", all showcasing his driving, hypnotic sound.

Another major milestone came in 2023 with the release of "Fuck You Up" on Bully Beatz Records, the label of Spanish techno heavyweight Dani Sbert. The track highlighted Thommes’ international direction and his commitment to delivering relentless peak-time techno.

Today, his music is gaining attention worldwide. Renowned acts like Danny Avila, Anna Reusch, Jens Lissat, Nusha, Dani Sbert, and VE/RA play his tracks in their sets. Thommes is also a fixture in the techno community at Nature One, where he performs annually at several camps in the Camping Village—with high-energy, hard-hitting sets that never stop moving.
