Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think that’s fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind.  Luckily, help is at hand as we've secured Dominica's unreleased summer anthem 'Gotta Let You Go'.

Having caused quite a stir in clubs and festivals across the globe throughout warmer months, we had feared that the track wasn't going to get an official release despite the likes of Jackmaster and Skream championing the track in their sets.

Thus we were delighted to hear that it would finally be arriving via Altra Moda Music this November and quickly set about securing it for premiere. Rock solid grooves, pumping synths and rolling snares underpin catchy, redolent vocals for a sunshine soaked floor filler guaranteed to ward off those winter blues.

Demuir marks an inaugural release on Hot Creations with High. Alive. And Dirty., a
diverse four track EP made up of all original records.

The EP opens with Santa and The Elf. A penetrating bassline ratchets up and down, as horn
like synths whir occasionally in the background, alongside tassel-like hi-hats. Up next, the title
track High. Alive. And Dirty. provides stunning contrast. A happy, funk-fuelled number, the
track incorporates disco elements with “positive and soulful vibes”, before Rawness - Beat 3
features a “raw native structure”, bongo sounding drums and tropical vocals to from a well-
rounded, feel-good record. Eerbawdy Wants to Deeezsko rounds off the EP in fine form, with
more disco elements and chiming, emotional keys.

Canadian-based Demuir is a distinctive talent in the electronic music sphere. A prolific
producer, Demuir has already made a home on labels including I’m A House Gangster as well
as Cassy’s Kwench Records, whilst he is soon set to release on Loco Dice’s iconic Desolat
imprint.

UK producer, DJ and renowned radio presenter Monki debuts on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax alongside vocalist Wayne Hernandez, with PBR Streetgang and David Berrie remixes. 

Monki has accomplished a lot over the years. Whether as a presenter for BBC Radio 1, Defected Radio or Rinse FM, running her ‘Monki & Friends’ events, not to mention curating a Fabriclive mix, she’s unquestionably one of the UK’s best dance music exports. As well as release on her &Friends label, her productions have been landing on leading imprints like Weapons, DFTD, and iVAV. Debuting on Hottrax alongside London’s jazz singer Wayne Hernandez, she now adds another to her discography, following releases from East End Dubs, Cuartero, Popof, and Jamie Jones himself. 
 
‘I Woke Up’ features a solid analogue kick, atmospheric stabs, flashy cymbals and Hernandez’ perfectly treated vocals which reverberate through the sonic space and captivate attention.  

Respected for their excellent releases on Skint in recent years, Kurtz Records founders PBR Streetgang serve up two versions; locking in a compelling groove on their ‘Italo Dromo Mix’ with a simple but effective saturated snare, layering in a retro synth, evolving pads and spacey risers, before their ‘Italo Dromo Dub’ strips things back, emphasizing their beat programming and detailed key work.  

Returning Hottrax artist and Play It Say It producer David Berrie concludes matters with a swinging remix by switching up the rhythm using chopped up vocals, slick hats, rolling sub patterns and subtle keyboard flutters.

Two Long Records welcome Martin OCCO and Giorg for a new pair of tunes that once again redefine underground house music. 

There For Me is a superbly slick and involving track with a warm and rubbery bassline that is all goey and infectious. The prickly percussion drives things forwards and it has a real dance vibe that will lock people in especially once the vocals take off. Stay then pumps the party with more brilliant drum programming and bass and hits that keep the vibe prickly. It's a high pressure cut that never lets up. 

These are two tasteful and effective house tunes.

Hot Trax kick off 2020 in fantastic fashion with a new two track offering from Italian talent Paul C. 

Paul C is the co-founder of the Polar Noise label and has already released on the likes of Hot Creations and Terminal M amongst many others. He has done so over the last 15 years, all while clocking up Beatport hits and playing in Europe's best clubs. His forward thinking sound is tinged with influences from his homeland and that's laid bare once more here. 

First up is the fantastic 'Coney Island,' which rolls on a warm and hooky groove that stays deep. The rugged bass stabs add texture as spoken word snippets bring the drama. After a breakdown filled with tension it drops again and the floor is sure to go off as laser like synths fire across the mix and the percussion gets raw. 

Then it's the brilliant 'Combination', a much more textured and freaky track with a weird lead synth phrase and skeletal drums. It's one that drags you down the rabbit hole and late into the night on subtle effects and with plenty of detailed sound design really making it pop. 
These are two high grade underground club tunes once more from this essential label.
