These lyrics taken out of Pink Floyd’s powerful classic from "The Wall" Movie, “What Shall We Do Now?”, is the main reason why Grégoire Fray, brain of Belgian post-industrial/rock gang THOT, brought the whole collective into making this song their own, with a dark and passionate reinterpretation. Fray explains: “February 2020, I was back from a solo tour across the EU and was thinking of doing the same across Asia by the end of the year. A month later, we were all asked to stay home because of Covid19. Then I remembered this song that I heard for the first time when I was in high school, in the 1990’s. Yet, I was fascinated by the dramatic relevance of Roger Waters' lyrics. Look where we are now. Do we always have to do something?”

“What Shall We Do Now?” is set to be released October 18th, clearly announcing THOT's return, driven by several new fierce & original songs to be unleashed in the following months, including collaborations with singers of polyphonic ensemble “The Mystery of The Bulgarian Voices”

After a decade of challenging its music across several albums, EPs, videos, alternative versions, remixes and european tours, the gang lead by Grégoire Fray is going to bring a breath of fresh air in the industrial-rock and post-rock genres. Produced by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna) and engineered in live circumstances, FLEUVE features 9 songs built around a powerful drums/bass/guitar trio, on which passionate vocals, heavy synths, clarinet laments and bulgarian choirs melt together perfectly. Thereby, FLEUVE is a luminous ode to the european continent and its cultural history, to nature’s immuable inspiration, to women and transcendance. FLEUVE is due 20th of October 2017 on Weyrd Son Records.

Starting with Juliette Mauduit's bewitching voice, the track gets slowly lifted by heavy guitars & grazing keyboard leads, and closes with Fray’s chameleon voice surrounded by waves of reverb & feedbacks.

Following the release of their album “FLEUVE” on Weyrd Son Records late 2017, THOT joined the Europavox network and then toured Europe all along 2018 and 2019, supporting bands like Health (Us), Young Widows (Us) and performing in festivals like Dour Festival (Be), Dunk!Festival (Be), Bergmal Festival (Ch), Žižkovská noc (Cz), Soundrive Festival (Pl), Master the Music Business (Ro) and even Zandari Festa in Seoul (Kr). They also participated in belgian artist Marie-Jo Lafontaine latest movie, “Brussels Swings” and have been remixed by Ben Chisholm of Chelsea Wolfe. They are currently working on a new record, in which their unique blend of post-rock and industrial music will resonate with nature’s immuable inspiration.
